The Old Hickory Railroad is also home to the Greater Baton Rouge Model Railroaders, whose extensive layouts in O, HO, N, S and G scale, including live steam, will impress train enthusiasts of all ages. The G scale Little Hickory Railroad is one of only two publicly accessible outdoor garden railroads in Louisiana. These wonderfully detailed model trains run every second and fourth Saturday of the month from 1 to 4 p.m. The layouts can also be viewed by appointment.
