The Ghosts of Centenary. October 25, 2008. Our most popular event of the year. The train will make two night runs at 7 and 8:30 p.m., stopping at several points where re-enactors will retell the story of Jackson and Centenary College during the Civil War. Rolling through the deep woods after dark is a thrilling and surreal experience not to be missed. The Greater Baton Rouge Model Railroaders will also open their model train exhibit for special "night runs" on their layouts, including the outdoor Little Hickory Railroad. Tickets sold on a first come basis, so please arrive early to reserve your seat.

Highland Games of Louisiana. Saturday, November 15, 2008. Held on the grounds of the Old Hickory Railroad these annual Scottish games attract thousands to view the athletic events, savor the good food and, of course, ride the train. The train will make its regular 3 o'clock run.

The Battle of Jackson Crossroads. April, 2009. Civil War re-enactors will attack the train during a special 11 o'clock run. Our most popular event of the year. The train will also make its regular 3 o'clock run.
